rugby league/football

[edit]

I'm putting rugby league in because that's the name of the game. this is not the place for an edit war over terminology about codes of football, it's a movie after all. but it is the first mention of a code of football, so as per the disambiguating reference in Football (soccer) in New South Wales and many other pages on wikipedia, it's appropriate that it be made clear what code is being referred to. I am putting in football as both rugby league and football are the name of the game, and the title is "footy", a clear reference to football. It is clear what code of football it is in this context and the reference to rugby league as opposed to the title "footy" would be confusing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.132.217.29 (talkcontribs)

First, sign your comments. Second, not everyone who reads this is a rugby league fan from Sydney, so the term rugby league should be used. It's made obvious by the fact that you have to rename the link. I know from many, many, many of your edits that you would do the same to almost any mention of football (soccer) as just football. Fair use rationale for Image:Footylegends01.jpg

[edit]

Image:Footylegends01.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
