"South Florida Temple"?
[edit]Does anyone know why ldschurchtemples.com is calling it the "South Florida Temple"? lds.org says it's called the "Fort Lauderdale Florida Temple". Was there some sort of announcement that I missed? – jaksmata 21:05, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
- No idea why, they seem pretty good about using official names, but the official website still lists it as the Fort Lauderdale temple. Shereth 21:48, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

- See [1] in part it reads "A discrepancy has been created as to the official name of the temple. At member meetings held in May 2010, the official name of the temple was presented as the South Florida Temple, which is the name used on the plans submitted to the Town of Davie and is also the name used on pass-along cards recently produced by the Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission. However, Church Public Affairs indicates that—at least for now—the official name is the Fort Lauderdale Florida Temple, which is used throughout lds.org."--ARTEST4ECHO (talk/contribs) 18:29, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
