No article yet, just serving notice that the HBC's Fort Simpson on what is now the BC Coast will have an article some day; not quite synonymous with Port Simpson, British Columbia; I used "Pacific Coast" on the redlink because Ft Simpson was in inincorporated territory, though dependent on New Caledonia (Canada) (also technically unincorporated at the time).Skookum1 (talk) 16:00, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- Decided what to dab that as, it'll be Fort Simpson (Columbia Department) after the division of the HBC it was in; currently Port Simpson, British Columbia is a redirect to Lax Kw'alaams, British Columbia, which effectively is the same as if this article were titled by its Deh Cho name. The HBC fort needs its own article, though, ratehr than just a history section, and there may be grounds to split the indigenous village/clans there from the Port Simpson content; that may also be the case here, I don't know the NWT well enough to know....these notes are just a follow-up to my previous observation above; for anyone wishing to follow this please see Talk:Lax Kw'alaams, British Columbia, thanks for putting up with me.Skookum1 (talk) 02:38, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Fort Simpson, Northwest Territories → Fort Simpson — Consider this a partial relisting of the discussion at Talk:Fort Good Hope#Requested move. Further comments would we welcome on whethere this article is the primary topic for Fort Simpson or whether that title should be a disambiguation page. Jafeluv (talk) 23:53, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Support - for the reasons I set out at the previous, above-noted discussion. --Skeezix1000 (talk) 17:53, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
