Were his popular songs original revue numbers?
[edit]They could well have been - but do we know? The title "En herre i frack" is from a play that Gösta Ekman played in 1923 and 1930 [1]. The song was recorded in 1935. Of course a revue number could well refer to the title of a well known theatre piece, but so could any song. "Kvinnor och champagne" was filmed in 1930, and ended up in the revue film Brokiga Blad - not sure if that was the original purpose of the filming, or not. It could well be a stage revue number originally but if so: which revy, when, where? --Stighammar (talk) 13:29, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
