Expansion

[edit]
  • History of gambling in Oregon
  • Authorized forms, and the associated rules and regulations for each
    • Sports. Indian gaming? Lottery. Commercial casinos? etc.
  • Addiction services offered by the state's Department of Human Services

Any thoughts, comments or ideas? --Another Believer (Talk) 23:24, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the history, for instance see Copperfield, Oregon; as there used to be more of it, though I don't know if it was legal or illegal. Aboutmovies (talk) 02:32, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Two major things

[edit]

The ideas above are good. Here are a couple other things we need to cover:

  • Laws relating to private gambling (home poker games, gambling in bars or fraternal organizations; how these vary in different cities/counties, as well)
  • The history in Portland and Seattle of the Coin Machine Men, pinball rackets, the McClellan Commission etc.

Glad to see this is now a collaboration! Hopefully the article will expand quickly. I went ahead and added a table containing a list of casinos in Oregon, even though a similar table is found at List of casinos in Oregon. Also, I let WikiProject Gambling members know about the collaboration in case they wish to contribute. Looks like it is time to do some research... --Another Believer (Talk) 03:52, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
