Date Clarification[edit]

How could the first and second hotels have burned down on the same day? Year and all? This is inaccurate, an obvious oversight. Perhaps someone can provide some clarity to this article by researching the correct dates of the fires. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.122.146.191 (talk) 20:12, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I remember reading an article from the mid-1970's in Sunday Newsday's LI Magazine showing the cupola of the hotel knocked over with a wrecking ball. I never even heard of the place until I saw the article, and it made it seem like it was being demolished permanently. I wish I could remember the exact date. ----DanTD (talk) 00:01, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I could not find any mention of a fire at the first hotel in researching this subject. A new reference has been added, which indicates that the original hotel was redesigned and expanded Transpoman (talk) 16:57, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Google Maps mislables the hotel[edit]

I just tried Google Maps to figure out which sections of Garden City are in the Town of Hempstead, and which parts are in North Hempstead, and of all things for me to find, GoogleMaps has misidentified the Garden City Hotel as Roosevelt Field Mall. The problem is, I have no way of contacting them to tell them they're wrong. Any advice? ----DanTD (talk) 00:40, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
