[edit]Over the course of the next week I hope to flesh out the advertising section, add information about the debates the board members of the GWA had over becoming an incorporated (INC) non-profit, a section on the GWA first annual conference, and a section of the popular annual event Spring Cotillion. Feel free to add suggestions for content - as I'm still in the process of discovering more! Kelsey Brannan (talk) 16:28, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
Please don't take offense but . . .
[edit]the whole thing reads like a promotion. Not going to tag it because it's brand new and author Kels.bran is relatively new to Wikipedia. I notice that editor Roscelese made a correction. Perhaps she can help amend the article. Badmintonhist (talk) 18:12, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
- None Taken. This is not intended to be a promotion, but a documentation of a group's importance during the time period in which it was established. Kelsey Brannan (talk) 18:29, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
What is Lesbian is different from gay women
[edit]Why is two words used for one woman system? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.115.63.153 (talk) 13:18, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
- According to one of the board members, at the time some women preferred "Gay Women" over "lesbian" (a term that has many connotations) because using Gay Women opened up the organization to include who ever felt comfortable with whatever name or identity they wanted to use. kels.bran (talk) 02:54, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
