Copyright violation and hype[edit]

This article was basically an advertisement for the program and was so closely paraphrased from http://www.opera-stl.org/Careers_YoungArtistPrograms.aspx that it was a copyright violation. I have re-written as a stub, removing the hype, close paraphrasing, and verbatim copying. I have also removed the list of current students/members, none of whom are notable. What would be appropriate would be to list past members who have achieved notable careers, and preferably with their own Wikipedia article.

To future editors wishing to expand this article...

1. Your additions must be in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Any attempt to re-add verbatim or closely paraphrased copyright material will be immediately removed.

2. This in an encyclopedia article, not an alternative web site or advertisment for the Gerdine Young Artists or the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. Additions of material must be referenced to independent sources, and neutrally worded, using encyclopedic tone and style.

3. If you are in any way associated with Gerdine Young Artists or the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, you have a conflict of interest when editing this article. Please read WP:COI for guidance on editing in these circumstances, before you make any further additions or changes.
