4th Yartzeit[edit]

That the director of a court that dealt with sensitive issues can't be found too readily in google searches doesn't prove he is or is not notable. When the tag was put here in 2019 I saw no reason to question it - couldn't prove or disprove either way. That the man's fourth yartzeit is noted in a newspaper with a Jewish 'out of town" (compared to NYC) circulation gives some credibility. Somewhere there's a story about the Israeli military having to helicopter out him and Dov Hikind, a few years ago - per and his concern was reflected in his writings" in the article. To go where its dangerous? Bullets (and explosives) don't read HatNotes.

I should have done a simple Google - which I just did - for "Gershon Tannenbaum" AND "born" - he was born in a DP Camp in Germany. There's more stuff. Pi314m (talk) 10:10, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A bit more: That the Jewish media didn't openly print about what he did (only the NYTimes had bits and pieces when it went beyond the Orthodox community, such/as noted/"helping victims of abuse, matters about the the only Reform synagogue in Boro Park's needs/older congregants) "stayed" out of public sight. Now more about him will, per the Talmud's "Chavra deChavra"/a friend of a friend (who was helped by his court, not that court secrets will leak, but just appreciation) will bring a bit more recognition/"notability."
