- Nice additions and thanks for adding the infobox! Hopefully the photo won't get tossed, it's good enough (look for the pics that allow commercial use in flickr. FYI, Uploading in commons using their Flickr checker thing will catch anything that doesn't have all the right permissions) I tossed the "add your name" thing above, because the list of who is working on the article is obvious from the edit history and hence a separate list not needed here. Good progress. Montanabw(talk) 00:10, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
- ) I searched Flickr first. They have no photos, either commercial or not. Zero. I'll be adding here.....but I'm doing a GA Cup. On different account. I found that there is about 2-5 articles on Simple English about Equines. I'm doing a cup there and trying to get points to win it. :) I'm User:Salixa I won't be able to do this so much. But I'll try to keep with it. :) --Mhera (talk) 00:27, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
- Which, frankly, is not surprising. The horse photo-finding genius of all wikimedia is probably User:Kersti Nebelsiek. She's German, I think, and does a lot of work on Commons. You can probably drop her a message on her talk page here and see if she can find anything. Include a link to this article. If she can't find anything usable, there's nothing to be found, IMHO! - Lol then I'll drop a message!! I know about one word of german which is lucky she can speak English. :P (the one word is pferd, meaning horse) Mhera (talk) 16:30, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Gidrane - dam line
[edit]There's a dam line line called "Gidrane" in the Lipizzan breed. I wonder if there's any relations? Gidrane is the only Arab dam line line amongst all other classical dam lines! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Conversano Isabella (talk • contribs) 14:17, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Hey! How are you? Hmmm... possible: does the Lipizzan line have any connection to the Mezohegyes State Stud? From the article, "The Gidran breed began its development in 1816 at the Mezohegyes State Stud. The original foundation sire was a desert bred Arabian stallion named Siglavy Gidran." I notice that the Lipizzans have a "Siglavy" line. Montanabw(talk) 18:12, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
