Birth year[edit]

LC authority file give birth year as c. 1650 based on the score to a 1986 edition of an oratorio entitled Santa Dimna.--FeanorStar7 (talk) 07:51, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Julie Anne Sadie in Companion to Baroque Music (first published 1990; reprinted 1998) also gives c. 1650. More recent sources suggest a later date however: Buelow gives c. 1662; and http://www.earlyopera.org/research/earlyoperas.html citing Grove Online gives c. 1665.
