Correct Competition Class

[edit]

The article lists the historical status of the Competition Classes that applied to the Libelle H 301 in the 1960s & 70s. But with all the rules changes since the 70's isn't the correct competition class today either a 15 M Class, or Club Class (per Wikipedia article on Glider Competition Classes)? It isn’t meaningful to refer to “the correct competition class today” for the H-301. These aircraft are no longer competitive in the Open Class but that doesn’t mean the Open Class is incorrect in some way.
An H-301 can compete in any class, even Standard Class (if flaps are locked in one position) but I don’t suggest all classes are listed in our article. The class in which an H-301 competes is largely a choice by the pilot and so not something that should be specified in an encyclopaedia. The H-301 was designed with Open Class Rules of the day in mind, and that is all that Wikipedia should say. Dolphin (t) 23:47, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
