Enzyme Names?

[edit]

I think there may be a mistake in the enzyme names. The reverse reaction enzyme is listed as glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase but it's a Glycerol not glyceraldehyde base structure. A textbook I have lists the enzyme as "glycerophosphate dehydrogenase" but I'm not sure if it's right because I think the book has oversimplified other enzyme names. I'm changing the enzyme name to this simple one, so please correct and leave a comment if this is incorrect. --Xris0 18:07, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Addition to Intro and "Function" Tab

[edit]

Hello everyone!

I just added some extra information on GDP1 and GDP2 in the introduction to show how G3P shuttle works. I did not delete anything from this section that was there prior.

I also added a study done on the effects of G3P shuttle on virulence fungi in the Function section just to elaborate on it more. Again, nothing was taken out that was there prior.
