Good article

[edit]

This article has severe plural vs. singular issues. Half of the time you're talking about it as a species and the other half you're acting like there is only one of them.

Example: Golduck live in fresh-water lakes and in rivers, though it can also be seen occasionally in coastal waters. Golduck are fast swimmers, outswimming even the most athletic of humans because of its frog-like webbed hands and feet. The gem on its forehead glows when it uses psychic powers as well as when it swims at full speed, suggesting that it sometimes uses those powers to swim.

You're talking about a species, but you keep referring to it in the singular tense. Additionally, it is never stated that the plural of "golduck" is "golduck" and not "golducks" (can you even support that it is the plural?).

I cannot pass this article until its grammar issues are resolved. Contact me on my talk page when you've fixed it up. --SeizureDog 09:10, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GA removal

[edit]
  1. No source for its name origin, and uses weasel words - "could be". It could also be a combination of Gorgon and Duck for all we know. And before you point out the lack of association between Golduck and Gorgons, gold has no association either.
  2. We don't need to know the mechanics of the game - they're wholly irrelevant to the subject.
  3. Video game section has guide content. - A Link to the Past (talk) 20:11, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Issues have been addressed and, by unanimous consensus, the article has been relisted at WP:GA. The discussion, now in archive, can be found here. Regards, LaraLove 15:57, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In-universe tag

[edit]

the "biological characteristics" section is very in-universe, and so I've added the tag. It's a fictional creature, so its biological characteristics are fictional, and should be treated as such. -Malkinann 22:27, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
