Discussion[edit]

why is there no mention of the charcter grace being a battered housewife?Karaveks voice 19:07, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this article such a Stub? This was one of the best situation comedies about a divorced single mother ever.

This is a rather paltry article considering the show was quite popular for a time and became much-gossipped about because of Brett Butler's personal problems.--T. Anthony 06:14, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- The fact that Areteha Franklin sang the original opening theme song "Lady Madonna" (originally done by The Beatles) and that it was dropped for a new bad generic alt-rock version when the switched Quentins and houses (sets), and exclusively used in the syndication version.

- Speaking of Quentins... Ms. Butler's alleged out of control behaviour that she flashed young Jon Paul Steuer her breasts on the set and that caused his parents to yank him from the show and a recast of the Quentin character.

- That the actress playing Nadine also left late-series when she got tired of Butler's got out of control antics on the show, and the divorce of the Nadine/Wade characters. This leading to the possible addition of:

- The fact drugs (prescription painkillers) and alcohol lead to her unbearable antics on the show towards the end of the series.

- Mid-series, it was revealed Grace gave up a son for adoption when she was young and re-connected w/ him, a college-aged young man.

The hell happened to Quentin?!![edit]

How come earlier in the show Quentin is a boy under the age of 12 and so is his sister but in the late series he's a teenager almost a man and his sister is almost exactly the same?

I believe he changed age when they switched actors. This isn't too unusual in television.--T. Anthony 06:14, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for help writing an article about the spin-offs and crossovers of this series[edit]

I am writing an article about all of the series which are in the same shared reality as this one through spin-offs and crossovers. I could use a little help expanding the article since it is currently extremely dense and a bit jumbled with some sentence structures being extremely repetitive. I would like to be able to put this article into article space soon. Any and all help in writing the article would be appreciated, even a comment or two on the talk page would help. Please give it a read through, also please do not comment here since I do not have all of the series on my watch list. - LA @ 16:43, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Grace Under Fire (TV series)Grace Under Fire – Currently seems to be extra, superfluous disambiguation. The disambig page at Grace Under Fire currently lists only these two articles: Grace Under Fire (TV series) and Grace Under Fire (2011 TV series). If the article on the 1993 TV series does not need to have "1993" in parentheses, doesn't that then imply a primary topic over the 2011 TV series? Zzyzx11 (talk) 02:53, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Rename to C, per nominator stating that the current disambiguation isn't doing anything. 65.94.45.160 (talk) 03:28, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, as the 1993 series is clearly the primary topic in English-speaking areas. Powers T 11:56, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Grace Under Fire[edit]

Bold text Although the song "Lady Madonna" was the theme of the series on ABC, a song called "A Perfect World" by an unknown artist was used when the series went into syndication in 1997.
