I will review.

  • ""Graveyard Shift" is the 16th season two episode, and the 36th overall, of the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants." Reword this to ""Graveyard Shift" is the 16th episode of the second season of the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants." It's a little clunky in its current state.
    • That was the sentence written before. I don't know who changed it to "a little clunky." BTW,  Done Mediran (tc) 09:56, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "that the story is not true." Replace "not true" with "fictional."
  • "Squidward's story starts to happen" is informal; try "the events in Squidward's story begin to occur."
  • No problems with the plot section -
  • "However, the Count Orlok used in the episode..." should be "However, the image of Count Orlok used in the episode..."
  • "This gag is the predecessor to the Nosferatu gag that concludes the broadcast episode, and Floorboard Harry initially flickers the lights." This sentence is lifted directly from the source. Could you reword it a bit?
  • "Jason Bovberg called the episode "the spooky wonderfulness."" Huh? Rewrite this a bit; something like "Jason Bovberg praised the episode for its "spooky wonderfulness.""
  • "Bovberg stated the episode freaked out her daughter." Jason Bovberg is male. Also, "freaked out" should be changed to "scared."

Fix these up, and you get a pass. For now, I'm placing it  On hold. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 18:18, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thoughts on the Episode[edit]

Graveyard Shift is an AMAZING episode. Not only does it tell the story of the Hash-Slinging Slasher well, but it also has that eerie feeling, which I love in Spongebob. It's one of my favorite episodes in Season 2, and I'm pretty sure that's a popular opinion. Also, Nosferatu made a cameo in this episode, and he would later in The Night Patty, Squidferatu, Slappy Daze, My Friend Patty, and FUN-Believable. This episode makes Spongebob's creepy episodes FINALLY feel creepy. The thought of a person who chopped off his hand with his spatula sets the setting for the episode: creepy!
