"Most powerful air-defence warship in the world" claim

I question the "The Daring class is the most powerful air-defence warship in the world" claim. While I don't doubt that the Daring class is potentially a very powerful AD asset, the problems mentioned in the article with the Aster missile limit this class from reaching its full potential.

I also question The Times as an authoritative source on this topic, Defence Week or Jane's would be much more approriate.

Thoughts are define what is meant by "most powerful". In what respect? If it is referring to the Aster missile system, which is working very well now then it might be a fair comment. If it is referring to the overall strike capability of the ship then probably not given the power onboard the Ticonderoga class cruiser. Antarctic-adventurer (talk) 12:57, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Picture caption

It is correct. Unlike traditional ships the Type 45s were built in blocks, with some parts constructed in Portsmouth and some in Govan. Final assembly of all the pieces was completed in Govan, where the ship was launched. See the relevant construction section on the Type 45 page: "The ships are built by BAE Systems Surface Ships, originally created as BVT Surface Fleet by the merger of the surface shipbuilding arms of BAE Systems and VT Group. These two companies previously built the ships in collaboration. BAE's two Glasgow shipyards and single Portsmouth shipyard are responsible for different "blocks". The largest and most complex blocks containing the operations and machinery spaces are constructed at BAE's shipyards on the Clyde." Antarctic-adventurer (talk) 16:40, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
