Copyright violation notice[edit]

I'm the author of the deleted article and also the co-owner of London United. This article was published on wikipedia BEFORE to was subsequently used as the introductory piece on the London United Academy website page. It therefore to my knowledge doesn't infringe any copyright agreement and I request the Hackney Community College Baskeball Academy article is restored to Wikipedia in full at the earliest opportunity. I will also be asking our website administrator to add the GNU release statement with my name on at the earliest opportunity. I should add that I was made aware of the deletion by a University student who was trying to access the article for her dissertation. She'd referred to it a few months ago and then found it deleted when trying to access the articles yesterday.

When that notice is present, please let me know and I will be glad to restore the page. Please understand it is not you, or your article, but that wikipedia has to respect other people's copyright - this is why a close copy is quickly removed from here.
You know, I've seen lots of text being originated here and ending up elsewhere - I shall restore it now. Pls do get your system admin to either acknowledge it came from here, or put a GNU license on it - otherwise someone is likely to delete it again. HTH, and sorry for the inconvenience. I can confirm that http://www.london-united.co.uk/#/academy/4523610368 states I, Chris Morris, am the author of this article and release its contents under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation Licence, Version 1.2 and later. And as the editor that slapped the copyvio tag on, sorry for the mess-up. -- Whpq (talk) 11:25, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You were quite right to raise the issue. Now, the 'i's are dotted, the 't's crossed, hopefully the situation won't arise again. cheers Kbthompson (talk) 12:26, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Format[edit]

Chris, can I impose and ask you to have a look at a few other articles in wiki, see how they are formatted and apply a little formatting to your article? A few headings, for instance would help break up the text. cheers Kbthompson (talk) 12:26, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

Also a few references in the text would assist in ensuring that you don't get deleted for 'notability' - preferably from the national press - your own website is not strictly a reliable reference. It's quite a specialist interest, so I'll have to leave it to you. cheers Kbthompson (talk) 12:29, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see some material added in external links. References should be made inline with the text so it can be dterremined what part of the article the text supports. -- Whpq (talk) 10:11, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
