The article needs to explain what the "tilde" sign means. Several different definitions are popular in the research literature, and there is no consensus. -- (talk) 21:11, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Is the issue that the tilde has multiple meanings in asymptotic analysis (news to me if so), or are you referring more broadly to the use of the symbol in mathematics? Sławomir Biały (talk) 23:34, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

There is a problem in the formulation: the tauberian parts need further regularity properties for F, for example F should be eventually monotone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 21:45, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
