Lack of welfare concerns section and balance

[edit]

A large number of New Zealanders want many aspects of horse racing banned. Several investigations have found frequent doping (incl. with methamphetamine) and that this is common practice in industry. This page has no section on welfare concerns, social perception of racing, SPCA and NZVA position statements and instead is very unbalanced in painting this abhorrent industry in a glorified light - without addressing any of the widely accepted and publicized concerns mentioned above. This undermines the credibility and validity of this article and at worse is misleading via omission.
