Alleged scientist[edit]

Laski is called a scientist in the article. His field is said to be economics. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.44.108.96 (talk) 13:53, 4 November 2008 (UTC) The talk about science has vanished now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.177.171.194 (talk) 11:54, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Novel[edit]

A novel, by Miss Rand or anyone else, should have no part in a biography. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.44.108.96 (talk) 14:09, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alleged Economist.[edit]

Laski was not an economist, and in fact the lack of competent economic analysis in his work is seen as a major failing of his. It is said in Michael Newman's 'Harold Laski: A Political Biography' that his magnum opus, a Grammar of Politics, had the failing of prioritising moral questions over economic ones, with a consequent lack of competent analysis. This should be corrected - his field was political science, not economics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolfehenson (talkcontribs) 12:51, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality[edit]

The statement in the introduction he had few original ideas and is no longer widely read is biased and (partly) wrong. What Wolfehenson pointed out, above, that he prioritized ethics over economics, could be a virtue (pun intended ;-) rather than a failing from another perspective. Some would even argue that the classical liberal icon and moral philosopher Adam Smith shared this opinion. Only some 20th century economists did not - and consequently have run into deep trouble.--Olag (talk) 09:11, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
