Founding?[edit]

hey is any one in here that knows when Harvey was founded by Charles Harvey 75.128.238.65 (talk) 17:51, 14 October 2010 (UTC) Luke Zappa[reply]

Harvey is a suburb of Marquette[edit]

By any reasonable definition, and by verified sources, Harvey is a suburb of Marquette. Having an agenda for Marquette to have no suburbs is just POV. --Daniel C. Boyer (talk) 04:12, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your source is not sufficient, nor especially reliable. The only POV I can see here is yours. Beyond My Ken (talk) 15:09, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not exactly sure why you say that it is not sufficient or especially reliable; would you please flesh that out? I think it is at most debatable. As for your saying "[t]he only POV I can see here is yours" I think that is questionable too and I'm also not sure why you would say this -- at an extreme interpretation, it could be seeing bad faith on my part. The reason that I am saying what you say is POV is that I see zero indication or evidence anywhere that Harvey isn't a suburb and at least very many claims that it is. I am to be faulted for not including them in the article, but again, I'm not sure where you got the idea it isn't one. (They can be seen at https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/mi/marquette/harvey/ , www.theenchantedforest.com/html/harvey.html , http://mmba.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=59509 (weak source as it's in a forum), and so forth and so on, and Chocolay Township, that Harvey is in, is described as a "suburb" at http://mmba.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=59509 . I'm not sure who besides you supports, promotes or believes that Marquette doesn't have suburbs, but if this POV does exist I would like to hear it and it certainly should be included in the article, with relevant cites if they are available. This is why I was saying it was just POV. --Daniel C. Boyer (talk) 20:14, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
