We SO need pictures to understand this boat. It is described in the article as log-shaped, but the photo I have seen of it is not, its boat shaped. http://www.hullcc.gov.uk/museumcollections/collections/storydetail.php?irn=507&master=514 . Some comparisons with other known boats would help give perspective of the significance of this boat. Surely this is an unusually BIG log boat? How does it compare in size and function with sewn-plank boats?

OK, sorry crap photo- I've now seen others and it is indeed logshaped! NEED a good photo.

Not very easy to get a good photo because of its location and lighting condition. Keith D (talk) 00:39, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Needs a section about preservation with ethylene glycol after excavation. This was initially in an empty small swimming bath at Beverley Road Baths and continued at the museum after re-design there was far enough progressed.
I searched this article to discover how long the process needs to continue, or whether it has been completed. (T J Tulley (talk) 22:29, 13 July 2009 (UTC))[reply]
