CSD A7
[edit]This version is no improvement over the version at Draft:Hayley Woo which was declined AfC for notability. Bazj (talk) 08:26, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hey for (;;). This was declined at AfC right? If I remember correctly, the article subject had written a draft and submitted it. It was declined for notability. Then suddenly a new account was created which moved it to mainspace. Should this be moved back to draft space? --Lemongirl942 (talk) 08:34, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- Lemongirl942, I can't pretend to be happy with the current situation. The original version was a blatant autobiography that got moved back to draftspace. KawaiianSupreme recreated it in mainspace. I tagged it A7 which Graeme Bartlett declined on the basis that "several claims of importance are there". This left the article marked as patrolled but without any real review. I couldn't move it to draft as there was already a draft version.
- I don't speak Chinese so any assessment of source material in consideration of an AfD is beyond me, as is the task of polishing the article (even if I were inclined to
wastespend my time improving autobiographies and fancruft). There's enough in the linked articles (the ones which aren't dab pages or randomly chosen) pointing back to this article to suggest it may survive a deletion discussion. - Any consideration of Hayley Woo ought to cover her sister Jayley Woo too.
- I asked KawaiianSupreme about the connection to Hayley Woo. There seems just enough credibility given by KS's later edits to back up the assertion that KS is just a fan. Maybe a checkuser would show different. But since nobody's behaved beyond the rules as yet, G5 won't apply to the article.
- Hope that helps, for (;;) (talk) 12:29, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
- Options to go to a draft are to add a "2" on the name of the draft, or to attempt a history merge if they look like the edit history is not oeverlapping. I don't think prod will work, but AFD is a real possibility of getting a result. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:47, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (This person really does exist, she is an artiste, actress, model, singer and blogger yet there's no article about her on Wikipedia. I think every famous person deserves a Wikipedia page, for everyone to read up about them. Thank you.) --KawaiianSupreme (talk) 08:49, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
