Relationship

[edit]

What is the relationship of the subject to Henry J. Kaiser and the Kaiser Family Foundation? I noticed that his Antartic journals are on the Kaiser Family Foundation web site (kff.org). I think this should become part of the article. --rogerd 04:46, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added a sentence noting that HK is HJK's grandson. My impression is that HK doesn't talk much about this unless prodded. Tom Duff 21:21, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think they are the same person. This is HJK's grandson, Henry Mead kaiser, who has worked with Kaiser Industries, Kaiser Hospitals and the Kaiser Family Foundation and is currently located in the Portland, Oregon area: http://www.loker.com/hmkaiser/AboutHenry.html. I've removed the reference to Henry Kaiser. -- ChristenMcCurdy —Preceding undated comment added 18:16, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Henry J. Kaiser, guitarist

There are two grandsons named Henry. [1] Unfortunately the two cousins are sometimes confused.

The award-winning Bay Area guitarist, Antarctic diver and filmmaker is Henry John Kaiser III. He is the son of Henry J. Kaiser, Jr., who is the son of Henry John Kaiser, the industrialist. [2] [3] [4] [5]

Henry Mead Kaiser, currently of Portand, is the son of Henry J. Kaiser Jr's brother, Edgar Kaiser, Sr. [6] Edgar is the other son of Henry John Kaiser, the industrialist. This cousin's middle name "Mead" is for his Mother's maiden name. [7]

Re: Kaiser Family Foundation - Both Henrys have been Trustees of the Kaiser Family Foundation in the past.

Guitarist Henry J. Kaiser III was a trustee many years ago. [8]

Henry Mead Kaiser was a Trustee prior to HJK III, and is a convicted felon who went to prison for fraud. [9] "he had quickly pleaded guilty; forfeited his Piedmont home; and resigned his posts as a Kaiser Hospitals and Health Plans director -- where he'd made $90,000 a year -- and a Kaiser Foundation trustee." [10]
