Some possible sources

[edit]

Leaving a list of possible sources here for me to go through later and see what's usable. Unfortunately, these are all pretty short and seem to be restricted to book blurbs, although I excluded ones that were clear advertisements rather than reviews. It may end up being that his book Bibliotheca Diabolica ends up being more notable than himself, although I haven't looked at that just yet.

@FloridaArmy: Do you have the specific volume and page number for the Appleton Cyclopedia entry? I don't know about its reliability but I did not see an entry for Kernot in what we have digitally on WikiSource. ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me! 15:38, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I do not. I think he may be noted here? His publishing of published Donald Grant Mitchell's periodical Lorgnette seems interesting. A society page from that era strikes me as fun and that it was published anonymously at the time suggests it had some dirt in it. I might try to dig into that publication and maybe additional answers will turn up. Thanks for your help. Don't spend too much tome on him!!! FloridaArmy (talk) 16:11, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good! I did place an ILL request for the Oceans of Literature book to see if I can get that full page he's mentioned on. ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me! 16:14, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
