Notability of this artist

[edit]
In its initial created form this article used two references for information about Henry Petzal:
  1. A link to the announcement of his death on the website of the notable organization the Society of American Silversmiths.
  2. A book that was published about a touring exhibit of his work that appeared at at least one notable museum.

The first reference is evidence that Petzal was considered to be notable by the Society of American Silversmiths. This is corroborated by the fact that Petzal is listed on their Artists Memorial page. And the 2nd reference of course demonstrates that Petzal was considered notable by the curators of the Currier and the other museums that hosted the exhibit of his work.

Now, it's possible that someone who is more familiar with silversmithing than I would have an idea for better criteria by which to evaluate the notability of silversmiths. But if the two already-present facts in the article do not constitute evidence of notability - particularly an artist's work being exhibited by notable museums - I'd really like to hear a clear articulation of the standards for evaluating the notability of silversmiths that is being applied.
