[edit]

There is some conflict between this page and the Count of Vermandois page: The latter indicates Herbert's son Adalbert became Count following his father, then his brother Otto; this page says Herbert was followed directly by Otto. Anyone know which is correct? Lindsay H. 07:00, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Herbert's son Adalbert was described as "jester" and was probably more into feasting and women than in anything else. He left for a monastery (Homblières). His brother Otto succeeded him. --HaPi (talk) 20:18, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Eadgifu

[edit]

In my opinion Herbert could never have sons by Eadgifu, who was born about 50 years before of him... --Triph (talk) 22:11, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Poor old Eadgifu would have been 70 by the time Herbert was old enough.. I could not find data on her death, presumably this was around 950 ~ 955 --HaPi (talk) 20:18, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
