Perhaps the discussion of the historical evolution of the concept of heredity should be reinforced with more examples of specific breeds that humans have developed, along with the method used to develop those breeds.
More Information
Shouldn't there be more in this article? For example, like WHAT people inherit -- various diseases, height, if their parents are fat they'll probably be a little bit on the heavier side too, if their grandma had twins they'll probably have twins too, etc. I don't know, I just feel like this article is lacking a lot and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. ― Sturr ★彡 Refill/lol 04:45, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. These information would be necessary in order to further expand the article. This article just lacks too much information, but I don't think I can be the one to do that job. Maybe another person would be interested to do that for us. QueenQuorra Consult 10:54, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

It seems to me that this article focuses mainly on the History- not science of heredity. It doesent really describe dom./ reccesive alleles or codominence ect. I will try to help, but i'm tired now. Also, some organazation would be helpful.ScientificAndrew-merican 01:59, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Source suggestions
I see there has been steady incremental improvement to the article since the last talk page comment several years ago. I'll paste in here some suggestions of sources. I maintain a source list mostly related to the human genetics aspects of heredity, and you are all very welcome to suggest new sources for that. Meanwhile, here are a few sources that may be of interest for this article in the broad scope of its topic, which perhaps I'll add to the further reading section of this article in a while before eventually incorporating them into further incremental article edits.

Heredity vs heritability
I think that emphasis could have been put on the differences between those two concepts (heredity and heritability). Don't you think that a section on the disambiguation of those concepts would be necessary Beausoleilmo (talk) 15:11, 28 July 2014 (UTC)=
- I support the idea of a separate paragraph about the distinction as the concept of heritability causes a lot of confusion to pretty much everybody. I added a hatnote for now. --Cheater no1 (talk) 11:07, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
