Town name
[edit]According to the history posted on the town website, the name Hildebran had its origins in the family name of those who lived there (Hildebrand), with the "d" being inadvertently dropped at some point and eventually becoming the accepted name. https://www.hildebrannc.com/copy-of-town-history Given that the current mayor has the last name Hildebrand, this explanation seems plausible, perhaps far more plausible than the town having been named for an 11th Century pope.98.13.34.177 (talk) 16:07, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
Map location
[edit]Im looking at the map and it is wrong. Hildibran is located to the right of the map, not the left. 2600:1004:B178:8A89:2C80:2CF8:F0D7:21BE (talk) 10:12, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
