Bug in rater

[edit]

User:Redrose64 re superfluous "|1=" [1] - weird, looks like a bug in User:Kephir/gadgets/rater, maybe triggered by something in the project rating setup it reads? Anything changed recently in the project? and do any other articles have the "|1="? (I shall leave redoing the edit to confirm). Widefox; talk 22:00, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Widefox: I know of only two WikiProject banner templates that recognise |1= - these are {{WikiProject Insects}} and {{WikiProject Women's Health}}; it's also in the proposed {{WikiProject Parenting}} (about which I have messaged the template creator). In each case it's an alias for |class=, and if both are present, only |class= is actually used. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 07:47, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Redrose64: OK I gave in to reproducing it. It did repeat [2] but not when it had written the template info [3]. It looks like it's due to the empty parameter ||. A separate issue is the unrecognized field |UK= which I presume is either missing in the project or rater has an old copy before it was added. Widefox; talk 09:27, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What isn't recognising |UK=yes? {{WikiProject Trains}} certainly does recognise it - that's how the row

is produced. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 15:11, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To clarify: Two separate issues 1. the "1=" created by rater is caused by the empty parameter || 2. the valid project parameter |UK=yes isn't recognised by rater, which I've seen before and presume it's either due to the project having an issue or rater having an old copy of the project. Widefox; talk 21:15, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Rater must be ancient - the |UK= parameter was added in this edit, nearly twelve years ago. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:12, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That age, to me, indicates the problem isn't with an old copy. Widefox; talk 17:57, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
