The "Kingdom of Egypt" section contains political opinion and presents controversial and contended issues as fact. It makes claims of genocide in post-colonial Egypt with no meaningful citations. One can sense a strong presence of present-day political ideology in what is supposed to a neutral history article.
I entirely agree. It came across as outright xenophobia toward non-Western peoples. Similarly biased text, added in this edit last summer, was present in several other places in the article. I've removed those passages, and I've rewritten the final paragraph to focus on the bare facts. A. Parrot (talk) 07:34, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
So hundreds of Europeans and other immigrants or minorities were murdered, and you removed that segment because you think it's xenophobic. That is not focusing on the facts. 80.195.3.151 (talk) 14:09, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The photo shows King George V standing in the rear row, whilst an elderly Egyptian (or wherever he's from) sits with Queen Mary. I believe he gave up his seat for the old man and was supposedly praised for his Kingly generosity in the Arab world - I think I saw it mentioned in the late 90s/early 2000s biography of Kitchener (?Pollock). Might be worth a mention if somebody has a source.Paulturtle (talk) 01:58, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
