Hip Plantations

This article has a reference to "hip plantations", that without further context makes one think of a cross between the East Village and the Deep South. It seems to mean "rose hip plantations" as far as I can tell from a brief search through, yes, Wikipedia. Without that qualifier, this reference is probably a mystery to most modern readers, and possibly other readers who don't have an intimate knowledge of these (possibly) agricultural practices. Someone with knowledge of the context might want to include that clarifying information. I'd do it, but I'd just be guessing. MaxwellPerkins (talk) 00:10, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
