Does anyone have any photos of Holland Park to put on the page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.27.12.9 (talk) 08:34, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As Time Goes By[edit]

Should be a link to the BBC sitcom "As Time Goes By" which is primarily set in Holland Park. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Giddeyap (talkcontribs) 02:43, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

West London[edit]

As a resident of the area I am surprised to see that Holland Park has moved to Central London. Apparently on the basis of the London Plan. The London Plan divides up 'Outer London' for planning purposes and included London Airport and Hillingdon which most Londoners would consider 'west of London' rather than West London. Doing a quick Google comes up with these:

Maybe to someone that doesn't live in West London the POV is different? But on Postal Codes (W8, W11) and common usage in the press I would favour West London. But willing to listen to others views rather than start an 'edit war' Ray3055 (talk) 22:40, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it does feel weird - I grew up about 300m down the road on Notting Hill Gate and it was definitely West London back then. But we have to go by the official word on this one. Post codes only refer to direction from the centre, not placement - W1 is part of the W postcode area and contains Piccadilly Circus - definitely not West London. Any reliable source that discusses the clash between traditional labels and the London Plan allocations would be worth making mention of. All that said, I've changed it to "on the western edge of Central London" which is also supported by the reference to the London Plan — Scott talk 12:49, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
