Other programs

[edit]

I added the following to the section called, "Other programs":

In November 2023, the city cleared away all of the homeless people from certain parts of the city in preparation for the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit. The San Francisco Chronicle wrote of this, "All seven intersections are in the two neighborhoods that have long been at the epicenter of San Francisco’s unrelenting crises of homelessness and public drug markets."[1]

User:Graywalls reverted it, and commented, "POV push relying on primary source abated."

I'm curious to hear what others think of this.

@SquirrelHill1971:, the part you're talking about was re-phrased by another user The Account 2 and I didn't touch that part. I didn't remove anything sourced to SF Chronicle, a reliable source. The edit summary you're referring to is for this edit which I stand by. This is about a letter sent by Amnesty International being featured on a radical/activism group. The removal was justified. I apologize for falsely attributing that to you. That's 100% my fault. Thank you for the correction and clarification. SquirrelHill1971 (talk) 00:20, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Revisions to Historical Background section

[edit]

I would like to add to the history section, by adding a paragraph on the recent history of the housing situation, especially during the pandemic. I think that information about COVID-driven housing projects (such as project Roomkey), are important developments and are essential to reader’s understanding of this topic. The landscape of the housing crisis changed greatly during the pandemic because of the new need to socially distance, and minimize the spread of COVID-19 among people on the streets. This key part of recent history is not yet included in this article, so I think this will be a useful addition. Urmilav (talk) 21:20, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
