Hoot Gibson
[edit]Don't know if this is the appropriate method but, from my Mum's old 'fan notes' (she was completely hooked on Hoot Gibson) please note regarding his marriages.
Dorothy Dunstan (3 July 1942 – 23 August 1962) (his death)
Sally Eilers (27 June 1930 – 24 September 1933) (divorced)
Helen Johnson (1922–1930) (divorced) 1 child, Lois (born 1923)
Rose August Wenger (1913–1920) (divorced)
Mother used to say that wife # 2 (Helen Johnson) was quite the Bohemian and although she was long known as Helen Gibson and openly lived as his wife, she was in fact not married to Hoot until 1922 when she fell pregnant with Gibson's only issue.
Hope this is of interest to someone.
Tatty bye now, Loma S.
Military
[edit]When World War I started in 1917, Gibson joined the Army and served as a sergeant in France in the newly formed Tank Corps. 24.46.128.16 (talk) 19:33, 14 August 2022 (UTC)
