[edit]Anyone want to fix the nonsense in the tagged section? While its certainly true that the QLD Labor Government plays politics, this is hardly unusual behaviour for the political system! Especially when it could be argued that the Bjielke-Petersen Government could have easily prevented congestion problems in the first place by building a four lane, bidirectional bridge instead of expecting the old wooden Hornibrook Bridge to be upgradable (one would assume this was a simple costcutting exercise)... - Whilst you may feel that the information in the section you tagged is "nonsense", it was all comprehensively researched, has been referenced, and written trying to avoid a potential POV. Sure, as you say it may be just the government playing politics, however it discusses the very real and significant circumstances leading-up to the current event of the bridge’s duplication. There's an awful lot of discussion into the politics of this bridge. It's just a bridge. Presumably, an article about a bridge should be about the bridge, not about the history of its speed limits, some minor glitches (it's been open for years, incidents like bridge closures are hardly notable!), and the tos and fros of planning for the bridge and its possible replacement are hardly relevant enough to blow out an article about a bridge into a novella.
