Other athletes who match the criteria
[edit]This page had a section under this name with contributions by several users whom I am now contacting. Despite my objections, it was aggressively removed, repeatedly by User: Prolog. Much of the discussion around that has taken place on the user talk page User talk:Prolog. After my insistence that this be taken to discussion here, Prolog opened Wikipedia:No original research/Noticeboard#IAAF Hall of Fame where the discussion apparently will now continue. - The discussion has now been archived. None of the five uninvolved users who commented supported retention of the section. Prolog (talk) 09:40, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
inaugural class of 24
[edit]There reads: The inaugural class, composed of 24 individuals, was introduced in November 2012.
However, the table below has only two athletes with date of November 2012, others have an earlier date. Though the table says "induction", is it different than introduction? If yes, that should be somehow clarified. 85.217.21.90 (talk) 19:41, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- They were officially inducted as a group in November 2012, but their names were announced bit by bit before that, and the dates of those announcements are listed here as the dates of induction (the first twelve, for instance, were announced here). It's a bit confusing, yes; perhaps the official group induction date should be used for all of them. Sideways713 (talk) 20:29, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- Maybe that you said could be put in the article to clear it up. And maybe the table could also have the both dates: announcing and induction. 85.217.21.90 (talk) 22:59, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
