Which Jones?

[edit]

"for example, Norah Jones, John Paul Jones (of Led Zeppelin fame) and Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age. Dave Grohl has described Jones' guest appearance as the "second greatest thing to happen to me in my life."" It's not clear whether Grohl is talking about Norah Jones or John Paul Jones here.

I think it is at the very least obvious that he's talking about John Paul Jones, since he's a long time Led Zeppelin fan...i have a Jan 5 2000 Melody Maker where he states, in a millennium poll speaking about Led Zeppelin's Coda (excuse me if the citation is too long) "Led sZeppelin completely moulded the way i play the drums. No one can't deny that band anything. All their albums are great. I prefer HOTH and ITTOD to their first two, but Coda was the best, 'cos "Bonzo's Montreaux" was on it - John Bonham's one drum symphony. I stayed up many a night working on that one. I'll play it for you right now if you want!". So there you go. I wouldn't be surprised although if it was Norah Jones! Who knows...but it seems pretty obvious it's not. Copy control?

[edit]

Copy control seems to be a specific type of copy prevention used by EMI. Does anyone know if that is specifically used anywhere, or is that just meant to refer generically to any copy protection scheme? In the United States, the disc uses MediaMax CD-3. —Mulad (talk) June 30, 2005 00:02 (UTC)

According to Rolling Stone the title is a tribute to John Kerry, not as this article states, the fans.

Is it possible to find out who "The Last Song" is dedicated to?

"receptive"?

[edit]

Hi, what exactly do you mean by receptive in "Described by leader Dave Grohl as the "ultimate" Foo Fighters album, In Your Honor was generally met with receptive reviews."?

I'm translating this article into spanish and I don't quite get what you mean, thanks. Guirro 21:14, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

End over End

[edit]

I've heard End over End on the radio here in NZ, yet it is not listed as a single? did it only get realised as a single in Australasia or something? M14mclaren 23:34, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Foo-Fighters-In-Your-Honor.jpg

[edit]

Image:Foo-Fighters-In-Your-Honor.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:28, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
