Salvation Army

[edit]

The Wiktionary entry for Pie in the Sky states that this song is the hymn of the Salvation Army, yet this article contains no links to it. If this song is heavily connected to the Salvation Army, it should be listed here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.227.7.35 (talk) 04:42, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs a lot of work, for example, when was it written? I don't have time right now to do this but did want to add the reference to it in Mark Twain, which always stuck in my memory. Salvation Army history ought to be added, it's very important. Lots of Salvation Army hymns were parodied. Also there ought to be a bit more about the composer and lyricist, I think this must have been their all-time-greatest hit, and also dates and place of publication of the Mormon anecdote. Sankey hymnal seems like a good reference to me, as far as it goes. But secondary sources are also needed.Mballen (talk) 06:26, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
