Location

[edit]

When I came to this redirect, I wondered about its exact location, so I began researching it. I found this map in the Independence, Indiana article that shows (at the bottom of the map) that Independence Station was across the Wabash about 1/2 a mile. So according to this old map found in the Fountain County, Indiana article, that would be right where "Fountain City" (now "Riverside") was located. So I've determined that this redirect is correctly targeted. I will try to use this in the article when reliable sources can be found.  Paine  u/c 16:49, 1 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There is a reference source in the target article – Beckwith, Hiram Williams (1881). History of Fountain County: Together with Historic Notes on the Wabash Valley, Gleaned from Early Authors, Old Maps and Manuscripts ... H. H. Hill and N. Iddings. p. 448. – that mentions Independence Station, so I have added the information to the target article.  Paine  u/c 17:26, 1 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
