More than a merger is required
[edit]Article mixes up MSAs with CSAs... A bit of clarity would help. In their present forms, this and related articles are misleading. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.132.161.1 (talk) 22:03, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Potential error on Surface Area Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area
[edit]The surface area is listed as identical to Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area. Radio Guy (talk) 05:24, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
165.138.11.25 - You placed on the page "if the total was right on 2005 metro population, it would be 1,771,003. The population increase by hamilton county alone between 2000 and 2005 is more than you have for the entire indy metro."
Please note that although Hamilton County did grow, Madison County was removed from the Indy Metropolitan Statistical Area between 2000 and 2005 to form the Anderson, IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. This is covered in the notation on the population table where ¹ denotes "County was not a part of Indianapolis, IN MSA at the time of this Census and the county's population is not included in MSA total." You may be confusing this with a Combined Statistical Area (CSA) which is mentioned in the header with the counties added to the MSA (including Anderson, IN MSA and some others) to form the CSA.
It is obvious from the map that most of the Indianapolis metropolitan area is SOUTH of the city, not North were Carmel is located. Where is your current, official information for the title change? nevermind, I found it. The 'Office of the President' determined this Apwall21 01:05, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Merge proposal
[edit]This is just a definition of the metropolitan area, so we should merge this into the Indianapolis area article. WhisperToMe (talk) 01:00, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
