Production bits

[edit]

I've removed the bit about how a certain portion of the cast wasn't in the episode, as it doesn't appear to add any value to the article. If, however, a reliable reference were to be found that illustrates the notability and exceptional importance of this information, then I would withdraw my objection. Not before, though. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 16:12, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to "Plot Summary"

[edit]

Hi, Reading through the plot summary, it seemed to me that the words intend to were missing from the sentence As they prepare to leave, Rick tells Carol that he does not allow her to return to the prison, since Tyreese would kill her when he reveals that she killed Karen, and he does not want her around his family. I thought of just adding them, but decided to rewrite some of the plot summary instead. I think it's important to go into a little more detail regarding Ana and Sam because of stuff that happens later on in the episode. I also think it's more important to flesh out Rick's debate with Carol to show each of their respective mindsets. Rick is very mixed-up over what Carol did and emotional throughout this episode. His concern for Ana and Sam is completely in contrast to Carol's machine-like attitude. I think Rick sees some of the coldness and darkness he's been fighting in Carol's (Shane-like) way of looking at things and this really disturbs him. Carol shows no remorse at all. I think this is the main reason why he feels she has to leave the group. This is an important point that which I tried (perhaps poorly) to express in my rewrite. If you disagree, then please discuss. Hello. I was the one who made the previous shortened version of the plot summary. I understand your opinion on adding important aspects of the story, but for me, the plot summary you wrote is too long or excessively detailed (Wikipedia has a limit to plot summaries somewhere). Yes, since this is the actual page of the article, it's good to add details, but it's not good/worthless if it's too wordy. This is why I shortened most of the summaries of the TWD season 4 pages - Isolation until Dead Weight so far - so that it has the important details, while keeping it short and concise. My inspiration was User:DAP388, who made several season 2 episode pages Good Article status. One aspect he used was to write short but correctly detailed summaries. So, overall, I agree with your decision to add details, but it's too long. I hope you understand. Jal11497 (talk) 16:16, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply Jal1149497. You're right about there now being too much information, so I'm going to change it back. However, I do still think there are some mistakes (words missing, awkward phrasing, etc.) in the original that need to be fixed. I'll try to get to those later on .
