Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... This is a work in progress. More information on notability will be added in a few hours. As a Fellow of the American Physical Society, she meets notability guidelines. --K Lepo (talk) 15:52, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
- I agree with K Lepo, being a professor generally means that the subject meets notability guidelines so in this case a speedy deletion under A7 doesn't apply. Andrew Base (talk) 16:39, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

- @Andrew Base:Unfortunately being a professor isn't generally enough for notability (see WP:NPROF, though {{ping|K Leop)) the Fellowship may be ... but you need to include significant things like the fellowship before you hit "Publish". If you want to work on a "work in progress" rather than create a live article, use your sandbox or create a draft, but once it's a main-space article it needs to reach standards of notability. - Actually I don't see that fellowship mentioned in the source given ... but it mentions what seems a notable prize, so I've added that, and sourced it, and linked it, and fixed the typo which had left her as a red link in the list of recipients. PamD 17:25, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
