Talk:Isa Chandra Moskowitz/Archive 1
Jewish
[edit]In this edit, an editor has pointedly inserted Ms. Moskowitz' ethnicity and/or religion, without citation. This might not be true. Further, in none of my readings of Moskowitz' writings has she stated her heritage or religious beliefs, or their relevance to her activities as professional cook, author, or activist. For this reason, I would like to delete the word "Jewish", and will do so in a week or two. Please comment. --Lexein 19:59, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
She mentions growing up with Jewish food in VwaV as well as veganomicon (look at the recipes for matzoh ball soup and kugel in VwaV and cholent in Veganomicon). Her heritage is important enough to her to veganize traditional jewish foods, and might therefore be useful to people looking for vegan jewish recipes. 98.233.196.47 (talk) 04:15, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Birth
[edit]Is it really necessary to mention which hospital she was born in. Seems kinda silly to me. :-P DiamonDie 07:22, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:VeganWVeganance 1569243581.jpg
[edit]Image:VeganWVeganance 1569243581.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

NPOV violation
[edit]The tone of the biography section reads like promotional material and uses way too many peacock terms. I may go through and strip it down later, but if anyone feels the need to do so in the meantime, have at it. -- Merope 21:47, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
I've made a number of edits, tried to tone it down a little and removed some of the more awkward parts. Zwatts (talk) 13:40, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
