[edit]Why do you think that Ivan Ilchev is not important enough to have his own page in Wikipedia? He is rector of the country's big university. Please note that this is the first page I create in Wikipedia, and I don't know exactly how I should do it. I'll be very happy if someone experienced helps me and explains me where I'm wrong, instead of putting my page for speedy deletion.
- Each claim you make about this person should have a separate, third-party source (not the subject's own autobiography). It should also be neutral in tone, avoiding words like "most respected". This whole sentence should be deleted: "Ivan Ilchev is a very open minded person, well known for his wide point of view, as far as history (or science at all) is concerned. He also has a good sense of humor. Always in doubt about if history in books have been manipulated over the years, he gets the essence and provides a multi source version of history, usually rejecting the official one partially or entirely."
- There is a note to provide sources. Please do this as quickly as possible. If you don't know how, ask on this page. If the article is not sourced properly it could become a candidate for deletion again. Harry was a white dog with black spots (talk) 10:07, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I can cite websites, but I don't know how to do it. Explain it to me please. I know the professor in person and I know the information about him from himself. It'll be hard to find some third party sources in English, but I found some in Bulgarian. I just don't know how to cite them.
- As I suspected. It is not considered proper to write pages on oneself or on people one knows personally. Wikipedia is not a place for "tributes" to one's friends or mentors. Harry was a white dog with black spots (talk) 15:21, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
