Minor Changes[edit]

I have changed the heading to show Dr Woodward as MD and MRCP, as these higher qualifications are far more significant than the FRSM, which merely indicates membership of a medical society open to all members of the medical and some related professions.

It's a pity that no obituary has been found, so we are left mainly with published information about Dr Woodward's early life. She studied long before the School Certificate examinations were introduced, so I assume that the reference to matriculating at Bromley High School means she passed the London University's matriculation examination, which served the same purpose. The Intermediate Arts examination the following year was the first year of the BA degree, but it could be taken externally from school or home. The article is ambiguous about her Gold Medal: if she obtained it in her final year it would have been for her MB or BS, rather than the MD: but such medals were also awarded for outstanding MD theses.
