Actually this article does not depict the whole episode..In the intro no mention of fast boat which went in the direction of the civilians boats..And civilians confessions alone cant be made as proofs, since they live under extreme pressure of LTTE .hence no way they can say LTTE boats were presented there..I am not really disputing the incident, but I am not sure whether this can be regarded as a massacre.like to hear what other editors think of this.Iwazaki 会話。討論 11:05, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Iwazaki somewhat. Seeing that he doesn't dispute the insident we should leave it alone. However, I don't understand why you say that it is not a massacre ? Those people were killed and the SLN did the attack (you seem to agree with that along with the proofs). If we were to dispute what the civilians say then we can and will run into many problems in a lot of SL related articles. I think that we should leave the article and take off the tags. I reverted Iwazaki's edit because according to WP:SLR we do not block out POV articles. For example many of SL related articles have citations of POV articles. Also please take up this matter of Tamilcanadian as a RS on WP:SLR so we can achieve a vote. I think that would benifit all of us. Thanks Watchdogb 14:12, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

re-reverted back to my version..Tamil canadian can never be a WP:RS.So I would appreciate it if the author of this article can bring some others sources..Also frankly , I dont see this as a clear cut massacre..Evidence shows an LTTE presence during the incident and they may have provoked Navy to attack the boats..anyhow, this article should be written in a better way than this..Iwazaki 会話。討論 15:11, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please leave the war crimes cat alone. It is a war crime when a navy of the state attacks civilians. Thanks Watchdogb 13:55, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Provide a citation from a reliable source calling it a war crime. --snowolfD4 ( talk / @ ) 15:11, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
