The Cass-Eliott-lived-here dispute

[edit]

An early revision adds that Cass Elliot was a subsequent owner of the Pink Palace, attributing this claim to this Web bio (more particularly, here.) However, in this revision, the claim and the attribution are removed. The next revision - three hours later! - undoes this edit because the previous editor did not supply a source.

More recently, an editor removed Cass Elliot again, citing the main Jayne Mansfield article, but not citing an external source. The next revision undoes this edit again, adding the comment that the dispute "needs a bit more elaboration, better a discussion."

In this connection, consider that, in her lifetime, Cass Elliot was well-known for living in Natalie Wood's former house in Laurel Canyon (see especially here; also here, and here.) Indeed, this star-map site observes that this was Elliot's residence at the time of her death, while on tour.

While Cass Elliot might have owned both the Jayne Mansfield house and the Natalie Wood house, it seems exceptionally odd that reports concerning the one fail to mention the other. Elliot's association with latter can be backed-up with photographs and contemporary reports; I have yet to encounter either as concerns the former.

In view of these considerations, and in consideration of Wikipedia's injunction to 'be bold', I have removed mention of Cass Elliot in the article proper. Perhaps editors who would revert this change would be so kind as first to review the external resources, above. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.71.74.199 (talk) 00:18, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
