Not a Promotion. Jesus green swimming pool in Cambridge is the longest outdoor swimming pool in Europe and one of the few remaining pools from the 1920's of it's type.

Anyone any advance on longest outdoor pool? Longest self contained outdoor pool? longest concrete lined outdoor pool? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.153.98.135 (talk) 09:17, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am very tired. Please expand it within a certain time frame. I will keep an eye on the article. Yanksox 18:41, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removed the following unsubstantiated, irrelevant and unlikely claim - there is no evidence of it at the pool and its irrelevance makes it unencylcopaedic in any case.

In what sense is the basket room innovative? At pools I went to back in the 1970s a basket in exchange for a numbered rubber band was a pretty common thing; lockers were exceptional. Moreover, since I have been swimming at Jesus Green, since the 1990s, the basket room has been a feature. It might better be described as "unconventional", "unusual", "old-fashioned", "a simple, yet elegant, solution to securing one's possessions whilst bathing", etc. Galatian (talk) 09:43, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
